Boat Service Technician

Pierce RV and Marine Supercenter, a family-owned business with nearly a century of service in Montana, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Marine Boat Technician to join our team. As a Marine Boat Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of marine vehicles. We value accuracy, problem-solving skills, and technical aptitude in our team members.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document comprehensive diagnostic tests, repairs, or replacements for customers.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as engine/inboard and outboard drive maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, and carpentry on marine vehicles as required.
• Keep track of all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
• Regularly update the supervisor on work progress.
• Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by the supervisor or designee.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively address work-related problems.
• Ability to understand complex technical topics and specialized information.
• Ability to work under pressure and complete assigned tasks in stressful situations.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with Mercury and Mastercraft is beneficial, but not required. We provide training.
• Must provide own hand/shop tools.
• Expected to achieve professional certification within 12 months and certified tech status within 24 months.
